February is a prime time for inshore fishing in this area, with the changing seasons bringing the Red Drum (Red Fish) into the shallows looking to feed. We met up at the usual spot, got the gear ready, and headed out to see what we could find.

The conditions were perfect - clear skies and calm waters in District 6 made for an ideal day on the water. We started working some of the prime Red Drum spots, using basic fishing techniques to tempt them into biting. It wasn't long before Peter's rod bent over hard - he'd hooked into a nice Red Drum that put up a great fight. After a solid tussle, we got the fish in the boat and let Peter admire his catch before carefully releasing it. A little while later, he hooked into another one, this time a bit smaller but still a fun catch.

The bite stayed steady throughout the trip, with Peter landing a few more Red Drum. In between casts, we chatted and took in the peaceful surroundings - just an all-around great experience on the water. There's something special about that feeling of the line peeling off the reel and the tug of a strong fish on the end. Combine that with good company, and it makes for a day you don't forget.
